Which KPIs matter for a pharma field force?

A good set of field force KPIs answers three questions: are reps seeing the right doctors often enough, are they doing what was planned, and is it turning into sales? Everything else supports those three.

The quality of the KPI depends on the quality of the data behind it. Visit counts typed in at month end tell you little. RxRep calculates them from visits logged on the spot with time and GPS location, so the dashboard reflects what really happened.

Why many KPI reports mislead

  • Built from self-reported totals, not individual visits
  • Available only at month end, too late to act
  • Count visits without asking which doctors were seen
  • Field activity and sales kept in separate systems
  • Hours spent each month compiling spreadsheets

Frequently Asked Questions

Coverage of priority doctors at the right frequency usually matters most, because it drives prescriptions. Visit counts alone can be high while key doctors go unseen.

Yes. Reports export to Excel and PDF.
